 How remote PC support works

We connect to your computer using client software that you download from a company called LogMeIn. Full details are given on the Remote Connectivity page.

We investigate the source of the problem using remote diagnostic tools - see example - which examine your system processes. These tests have no impact on your own work and you can continue using your computer normally. When we identify the problem we will explain how we can correct it.

Fast response to computer faults

We don't need to visit your premises so our response time is rapid.

All remedial action and maintenance work is done by taking temporary control of your computer. A dialogue box shows on your display screen while we are working on your system and you can watch everything we do.

 Computer problems quickly rectified

We will attempt to rectify problems speedily to improve your efficiency and productivity. Our work is confined to system devices/parameters and we do not interfere with any personal data or jeopardise your security. For your protection, our system compiles a full log of all the actions we take and provides a complete audit trail.

 Hardware faults and component failure

Please note that we cannot rectify hardware faults but our monitoring service may prevent possible system failures.
